News and talk of the recession is on every American’s mind…Is my job secure? Will I be able to pay the bills? How am I going to save enough to get me through these times? We are all faced with those kinds of questions as America tries to salvage its economy, including those of us in Texoma. Fortunately, Sherman continues to rock along steadily, as our local economy has buffered itself from much of the country’s economic downfall.  And now, as Americans pick up the pieces, Sherman’s leaders want each and every citizen to do their part to keep our local economy strong.

“Simply Shop Sherman” – that’s what the Sherman Chamber of Commerce and the City of Sherman are asking of people to keep the local economy strong. By each of us spending our money here, whether it’s a little or a lot, we’ll keep Sherman above water through these tough times.
